Reasons

Reasons like seasons are changeable,
And bend to fit the action’s needs.
Reeds swayed by summer breeze
are often more substantial
than the ‘whys’ we give to
those, who wish to know the
causes for the pauses in consistency.

  1. And this is clearly verse as rhymes dance their way through without obscuring meaning and the dance is free. A good use of internal rhyme in free expression. Really well done. Thank you for sharing today!

  2. the reasons are as many as the sands or those dancing blades, you speak true though and very elegantly at that....

  3. Couldn't agree with your sentiments more, James, both as you stated in your comment at One Stop, and as you've illustrated so meticulously and well here. Plus the poem itself is joy of balance and measured wit. Thanks for linking in.

  5. So lush in sound and texture... and complimented by the richness of the photograph. I love this piece, James, for all the above and for finding meaning in the wind.
